There are a number of sports and physical activity groups children are involved in these days. . .from soccer to gymnastics/dance, hockey and horse-back riding. . .there are many options for our youth to get involved and get active.  Sports and Recreation Camps can offer a great compliment to the regular schedule activity kids are enrolled in.  Camps get kids out of the regular routine and environment that they play in, and put them into more specialized sport specific environments with a diverse coach or instructor base.  Often a sports camp curriculum will include other opportunities to help the child enhance other positive attributes such as:

  • Positive Identity
  • Independence
  • Leadership
  • Social Skills (Friendship Skills)
  • Social Skills (Social Comfort)
  • Social Skills (Peer Relationships)
  • Adventure and Exploration
  • Environmental Awareness
  • Positive Values and Decision-Makin
